  5. Solution: Turn off the Interleave option.  DPaintV despite being RTG 
  6.           compliant, doesn't like Interleaved Amiga bitmaps.

  13. Q: Since version 4.46, promoting using the "Force Planar" and "Interleaved" 
  14.    options makes a program act weird or crash.

  16. A: Since version 4.46 the "Force Planar" no longer ignores the "Interleaved"
  17.    option.  Some programs (like DPaint 5) will not work with interleaved 
  18.    bitmaps.

  22. Q: Why does the palette requester not work correctly on true color 
  23.    screens (15, 16 or 24 bit), the palette won't change?

  25. A: Actually you are changing the palette.  However, the palette of 
  26.    a true color screen doesn't work the same as an 8 bit screen for
  27.    example.  The palette of a true color screen cannot update graphics
  28.    that were previously drawn, it will ony affect new rendering.

  32. Q: The backdrop color requester won't open.

  34. A: Either your system is out of memory, or more likely, the screen 
  35.    ModeProPres is opened on is out of free pens for rendering, if so 
  36.    either set Workbench to use a screen with more colors, or free pens 
  37.    on the Workbench screen by turning of backdrops, or open ModeProPrefs
  38.    on a public screen with more free pens.

  42. Q: What's a "free" pen
  43.  
  44. A: A "free" pen is a color register (or index, or pen) that is not 
  45.    being used by other programs.

  49. Q: Why can't ModePro promote this game/program?

  51. A: ModePro can only promote programs that use the OS to open their 
  52.    screens, most games and some applications do not use the OS at 
  53.    all.

  59. A: I don't know why!  Unfortunately I don't have access to many Amiga 
  60.    programs, so I can't explain why some programs fail to work.  
  61.    Chances are, the program is very old, and very dependant on the Amiga
  62.    custom chips.

  66. Q: Why does the WB act strange/crash/lockup with the WBPROMOTABLE 
  67.    option set?

  69. A: Again, I don't know why!  the Workbench hates being tampered with.  
  70.    Hence the reason for the warning in the docs.

  74. Q: The "Force Planar" option doesn't do anything, why?

  76. A: Recent versions of CyberGfx seem to have made this option ineffective.
  77.    I am considering a kludge to get around this problem, however, it may 
  78.    likely create a large load on the CPU, and likely will be unusable.
  79.
